Mark your calendars and buy Lagavulin stock, NEC XI is just around the corner. In spring 2004 FF@'s NorthEast Conclave returns to its home in the Adirondacks, the Wilmington Notch Campground. You'll hear the roar of the Ausable River behind camp, hear the buzz of insects flying around late-night fly tying lanterns, smell and taste camp food that can't be beat, and feel the powerful relaxation rays emanating from Dogpatch. As a bonus, you can have trout laugh at you from their cold-water lairs along River Road. Yes, NEC XI will be a good time, so make your reservations now and start waterproofing your raingear.
Below you'll find potentially-useful links for campground info and reservations, license info, etc. As usual, please let me know when you've made your reservations, and holler if you have any questions not answered by the links below.
We look forward to seeing you all this spring, or at least on 04 June (whichever gets here first)!
While you're waiting for the waterproofing spray to dry on your tent, re-read Glen Spackman's 2001 Treatise On Claving.
NOTE: On Saturday 05 June there will be a Whiteface Mountain Foot Race. Those of you planning to fish the Saranac River that day are advised to take the long way through the villages of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, rather than trying to go over the mountain out of Wilmington.
