Anakin, a Chocolate Lab, lived a very full 16.5 years before passing on in 2012. He owned Joel Dunn and (apparently) Joel's boat. He loved running, eating, and sleeping. He also had a young playmate, Lessa to keep him on his toes.

He especially liked boat rides, as you see from this picture. Once he was jumping from the boat to a dock and forgot that for each action there is an equal and opposite reaction. He jumped, the boat moved back, and he hit the dock edge chest first. He slowly slid into the water and then looked around, swam over to the ramp and looked at everyone as if to say "I meant to do that!"

Anakin's special talent was chewing up the front door when it thundered.
