Angus Jasper is a 10 year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Alberta Al got Angus before he bought the house in Canada. His wife Janine thought they should have bought a house first and Angus second. Angus thought getting him first was the better circumstance.

Angus' job is chief duck and goose retriever for the Western Canadian Grombachers. He works three months of the year, and has averaged 150 duck and goose retrieves a year. Angus mostly hunts with Alberta Al and his two boys (Ned and Denys). In the off season, Angus spends his time digging up the backyard, drinking milk from the kids' cereal bowls, and tracking muddy feet throughout the house.
